Mandala Class
This class will teach you how to use mandalas for personal growth and spiritual enrichment.
Mandala is a Sanskrit word meaning sacred circle. Mandalas are ancient circular designs. They also occur in nature, in sacred art and architecture and in the spontaneous art work of all ages of people from all cultures. Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung saw mandalas as spontaneous symbols of wholeness.
Each class will focus on a phrase or sentence from sacred texts of world religions. As a meditation on the text, participants will create mandalas with supplied art materials. Instruction on drawing the mandala will be given at each class. Discussions on the mandala meditations will provide insight for everyone.
Facilitator: Marilyn Clark, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and workshop leader, studied the mandala with the late Joan Kellogg, ATR. She teaches mandala classes with Susanne Fincher in Decatur, Georgia. She has a practice at MCIM in pastoral counseling, hypnotherapy, guided imagery and the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music.

Evening classes:
Tuesdays 7:30-9:00 June 24, July 1, July 8, July 15, 2008
Daytime classes:
Thursdays 11:30-1:00 June 26, July 3, July 10, July 17, 2008
Enrollment is limited to 5 persons per class. Minimum class size: 3.
Pre-register and pay for entire program by June 17. $80.00. If minimum registration is met, then we will offer single classes at $25 per class for late registrants. For a single class, you must register at least 24 hours in advance.
Materials fee:
$5.00 with preregistration for entire program.
$2.00 with single class late registration
