SHERYL MARTIN
Sheryl Martin, OMD, L.Ac., RN, is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Licensed Acupuncturist, and Registered Nurse. She graduated from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, in San Diego, California, and received her doctorate from Samra University of Oriental Medicine in Los Angeles California. She has been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine for 18 years, and has worked as a Registered Nurse for 31 years with specialties in women’s health, chronic pain management, and psychiatry and has been on the faculty at the Maryland Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine in Bethesda Maryland, and the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She served 2 consecutive terms on the Maryland State Board of Acupuncture. Sheryl speaks, both locally and nationally on varied health topics such as chronic pain management, natural hormonal regulation, and how to integrate the principles of Chinese Medicine into daily life. She is the Chief Operating Officer at the Maryland Center for Integrative Medicine.
MARY PHELPS
Mary Phelps, L.Ac. RN, is a Registered Nurse, Licensed Acupuncturist and Master in the Usui system of Reiki. She offers individual healing sessions incorporating Acupuncture and Reiki, and offers Constitutional Facial Acupuncture Renewal. Mary completed her acupuncture studies at Tai Sophia Institute in Columbia Maryland and in Leamington Spa, England. She obtained her Masters in Reiki in the Usui method in 1994. She is certified to practice Constitutional Facial Acupuncture Renewal by Mary Elizabeth Wakefield L.Ac.(Chi-Akra Cener, New York, NY). Mary has maintained a professional healing practice for 20 years. She has a full background in community health nursing, counseling, and the clinical supervision of acupuncture students. She is a provider for the following Complementary Medicine Discount Programs: Carefirst, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Kaiser Permanente, MAMSI, Aetna, and AARP. JEFF GOULD
Jeff Gould received his Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. He is nationally board certified both in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology. Jeff is a professional member of the American Association of Oriental Medicine, the Maryland Acupuncture Society, and the Delaware Oriental Medicine Association, and is licensed to practice in both Maryland and Pennsylvania. Jeff also has a Master of Education in Counseling and Personnel Services from the University of Maryland College Park. His Baccalaureate degree is from the University of Delaware in Psychology and Sociology. Jeff practices several branches of Oriental Medicine and tries to integrate acupuncture, herbology, and Chinese dietary therapy into patients’ therapeutic regimens.Also in this section
